Tips and tricks with Linda: Space saving ideas for your RV.
Closet Organization
Storage space is easily one of the most important things about your RV. And it also happens to be one of the most limited resources. Luckily, there are some great tips for creating extra storage space by being organized with the help of easy-to-find items that are a snap to install, too.
- Let's take the closet for example. You probably already noticed that traveling with clothes is a necessity that can take up a ton of storage. A lot of RV models come with a tall closet meant for hanging items, but this can be a waste of space if you don't have clothing that need to be hung. If you prefer shelving, you can add in collapsible hanging shelves that velcro easily to an existing curtain rod, or you can set up stackable plastic drawers in this space if you don't have a curtain rod installed in your closet. These added shelves allow for more clothing storage, or use the drawers for storing a few odds and ends.
Dry Erase Board Uses
- These lightweight and reusable boards can serve so many neat purposes, from grocery lists and recipes to schedules and to-do lists! They can come in all kinds of sizes and are usually light enough to only require sticky backing to hang, which means you can put them anywhere with no permanent damage. The best use in an RV is to hang a board to the inside door of a kitchen cupboard, nd when you arrive at a campground, write the name, address, spot number, and phone number of the campground for easy access in case of medical emergencies.
A Little Help In The Dark
- Going in and out of your RV at night can feel a little trickier, especially if your entry steps aren't easily illuminated. Here's one quick and pain-free tip you can use to help ease your mind if you ever need to use your RV steps in the dark. Purchase glow in the dark tape and cut off as long of strips as you like. If you only need a small strip to show you the edges of the stairs or if you prefer longer strips to show where the steps drop off, it's your choice. Reflective tape can also work to help show you where you need to step.
