All Pets Welcome
We all love our pets and sometimes we just want to bring them along on our adventures. With this list, you can find campgrounds that allow all well-behaved pets.
Lake Conroe/Houston North KOA Holiday
The first campground is a KOA with very specific rules around pets. The pet policy states that they love pets and that all well-behaved pets are welcome.
Rules:
- All pets no matter how well trained must be on a leash or lead at all times when outside and never left outside unattended.
- Pets must be picked up after they "do their business".
- Any pets showing aggression or is a valid disturbance to other guests will be asked to vacate the park.
- Pets are not permitted in the pool area nor inside any public buildings.
- There is a $25 pet fee, per pet, per stay, per cabin with a maximum of 2 pets.
South Padre Island KOA Holiday
The next campground is another KOA. They don’t specifically say that they allow all pets. However, they state they allow pets, and only pets that display aggressive behavior will be asked to leave.
Rules:
- Pets should be kept leashed and under control.
- Please clean up after your pet.
- Pets are not allowed in buildings or pool area.
- Pets should not be left unattended.

- Do not bring a noisy or dangerous dog to a state park.
- Pets are not allowed in any state park buildings. This includes motels, cabins, screened shelters, group facilities, and restrooms.
- You must pick up your pet’s waste and put it in the trash.
- Pets are not allowed in the water or on the land around a designated swim area.
- Your pet must have a current rabies vaccination, and you must have proof with you.

- Some of these rules do not apply to service dogs helping a person with a disability.
