St. Patrick's Day is just around the corner and this blog is all about where you can go, what you can eat, and how to decorate your RV for this very lucky holiday!

First things first where will you go to get the most green for your buck? Below are three places that will definitely make you feel like you're in the heart of Ireland, without having to leave the states. 

  • Chicago, Illinois
    • The Windy City has been holding St.Patrick's Day festivities for over 50 years. One of the most anticipated events is when the people of Chicago dye the Chicago River emerald green. There are also many parades that take place in the days leading up to the fun-filled holiday! If you are looking for a place to see some out of the ordinary things, Chicago is the place for you.   • Shamrock, Texas
    • Did you know that in 2013, the Texas Legislature made Shamrock, Texas the official place to celebrate St. Paddy's day in Texas. Shamrock is located on the historic route 66 and this year marks its 73rd year of Irish activities! From a carnival to a beauty pageant to live music and dancing, this town of 1,870 people is sure to be rocking this upcoming weekend.   • O'Neill, Nebraska
    • Our last local is home to the world's largest shamrock and is the Irish capital of Nebraska! O'Neill's population doubles every year on St. Patrick's day because visitors from all over the world come to see the giant shamrock and to participate in the holiday activities. Now, you can't celebrate a proper St. Patricks day without digging into some everyday Irish cuisine. I hope you like potatoes because they are a crucial ingredient to most dishes in Ireland.
